Carmen Warrington is known as “the voice of peace” and has practised meditation with the Brahma Kumaris since 1984. Carmen has recorded several meditation CDs and whether singing her gentle songs or speaking guided meditation commentaries, she has the ability to touch people’s hearts.
Anne Norman is a shakuhachi performer, improviser and composer, working in a diverse range of music creation. Anne is an intuitive performer and particularly enjoys spontaneous improvisation with musicians and dancers.
David Jones is a master percussionist and is one of the most innovative and musical drummers in the world. His mesmerising drum solos are dramatic, humorous, surprising and powerful. David creates a universe of sounds, textures and rhythms that take you through different cultures, ages, moods and styles.
Invention in Time is marimba and vibraphone duo Kate Adam and Ariel Valent, performing original and exciting sound sculptures that stimulate the mind and refresh the soul. They have performed extensively across Australia and in Europe and have appeared on ABC TV’s Spicks and Specks.
Jess Ipkendanz is a musician, composer, and visual artist who has performed solo works in Australia, Japan, Germany, Denmark and Italy. Jess is completing her Masters of Music in performance at Melbourne University.
Peter Roberts is seldom heard performing in public, as he works full-time with his music in medical care settings using harp and voice to support those who face life-threatening illness. His music reaches into the very depths of the soul.
Ambient World create sacred sound events, meditations, concerts and workshops using the sacred essence of sound. At Music for Meditation, they will be performing with Garth Stone.
Dean Frenkel is a harmonic overtone singer and is the Guinness world record holder for the longest continuous vocal note, as seen on ABC TV's Enough Rope. Dean is a leading voice for harmonic and throat singing in Australia.
Linda Laasi is a vocal improviser of ethereal soundscapes and won an ARIA for her contribution to the original soundtrack of Australian feature film 'Jindabyne'. Linda has also performed at the Womadelaide World Music Festival.
Arrayah combines the beautiful healing tones of Tibetan and crystal singing bowls to create an atmosphere that is peaceful yet powerfully moving.
Garth Stone plays didgeridoo and crystal singing bowls, creating a harmonic blend of earthly and heavenly tones for deep states of relaxation and awareness.
